In 2021, Manitoba’s road transportation sector represented 27.6% of the province’s total GHG emissions, equivalent to 6015 Kt of CO2
Saskatchewan has the highest per captia GHG emissions of any province. In 2018, the transportation sector represented 15% of all GHG emissions by the province, equivalent to 11, 460 Kt of CO2

Who is Eligible
Any municipality, legally incorporated or registered for-profit or non-profit organization based in Manitoba or Saskatchewan can apply to install new EV charging stations
Municipalities
First Nations and/or Indigenous Organizations
Non-for-Profits
Co-operatives
Businesses
Eligible Project Locations
Public Places
town halls, municipal parking lots, recreational centres, arenas, etc.
Multi-unit residential buildings
(minimum of 3 dwelling units)
On-street locations
Workplaces
(Excludes private residences with a registered business at the same address)
Light-duty vehicle fleets
Available Financial Rebate
Type of Infrastructure:
Level 2 (208 / 240 V) connector
Output:
3.3 kW to 19.2 kW
Maximum Funding:
Up to 50% of total project costs, to a maximum of $5,000 per connector
