Eco-West Canada is a national not-for-profit organization based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and a member of the AMBM Group. Since 2008, Eco-West Canada’s mandate has consisted of promoting the sustainable economic development of Canada’s rural municipalities through the planning and implementation of a green economy infrastructure.
Eco-West Canada’s activities thus include assisting rural and urban municipalities, and other clients as well, in their local and regional greening projects by capitalizing on the synergies that exist between economic and sustainable development. In order to achieve these goals, Eco-West Canada is active in the following sectors:
- Energy Efficiency/Building Retrofits
- Transportation: EVs/Charging Infrastructures/Municipal Fleet Feasibility Studies
- Wastewater Treatment
- Waste management: Composting, Recycling, Waste to Value-added/Gasification
- Low Carbon Emissions Clusters (municipal)
- Circular Economy
At Eco-West Canada, we…
Manage
projects from conception right on through to implementation, including feasibility studies as well as pilot and capital projects;
Provide
municipalities with greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories that identify sources of energy consumption and emissions;
Coordinate
the development of Climate Change Local Action Plans (CCLAPs), which contain areas of activity and green initiatives that aim to reduce (GHG) emissions in the municipalities;
Promote
the creation of a rural green economy/infrastructure by helping municipalities to bring green technologies into their communities; and
Assist
municipalities/other clients in securing financial support for their green projects from various levels of government and independent funding bodies.
