Planning and Design Projects: Infrastructure Canada’s Rural Transit Solutions Fund
Funding OpportunitiesThe Rural Transit Solutions Fund is the first federal fund to target the development of transit solutions in rural and remote communities.
Eligible applicants can seek a grant of up to $50,000 to support communities’ projects to plan and design new or expanded transit solutions for their communities.
Who can apply:
- Municipalities
- local and regional governments established under provincial or territorial statute, including local service districts
- Federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit organizations
- And more
Eligible projects include:
- public engagement
- needs assessments
- feasibility or viability studies
- surveys and assessments of routes or modes of travel
Applications are currently being accepted.
