This initiative provides funding for\u00a0<strong>energy efficient lighting upgrades.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-dark-green-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-63896efea5f9436b066a6924c72cbcf4\">Expression of Interest Accepted:<br>Friday, September 1 to December 1, 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This new limited-time initiative aims to help communities reduce their energy bills and operating costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Both municipalities and privately run rinks are eligible for funding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to $2 million in funding will be provided to fund the initiative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligible projects will receive up to 100% of reasonable lighting equipment and associated labour costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The initiative will run from September 1 to December 1, 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions will be reviewed and funding will be allocated to a variety of projects with the intent of supporting urban, rural, remote, and First Nation communities throughout Manitoba.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approved projects will be administered through the Business Lighting Program with enhanced incentives from this initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-dark-green-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a8055b96373e5f32c8817005ff0b0dbb\">Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>The building is used in a commercial capacity and has an indoor ice surface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposed lighting equipment meets the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/efficiencymb.ca\/business\/business-lighting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Business Lighting Program&nbsp;<\/a>product requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Expression of Interest is submitted between September 1 to December 1, 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A material and labour quote is provided with the Expression of Interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project must be approved prior to material purchase and
