Partners & Friends of Manitoba’s Bilingual Municipalities

News

Following the AMBM’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on November 21st in the Rural Municipality of De Salaberry, we are proud to present the 2023-2024 consolidated annual report of the AMBM Group, entitled On course for growth and prosperity. This document, available in both official languages, highlights the significant achievements of the year, made possible through fruitful collaborations and strong partnerships.

During this period, the federal and provincial governments invested an estimated $495.8 million in Manitoba’s bilingual municipalities, demonstrating the strategic importance of our collective efforts.

One of the major milestones of the year was the official recognition in March 2024 of the Municipal Maturity Model (3M) by the Manitoba government. This innovative regulatory framework, the first of its kind in Canada, allows our members to enhance their service delivery in both official languages.

Our annual report illustrates the strength of the AMBM Group and the shared vision of a prosperous future. You will discover significant progress made in municipal infrastructure, economic development, green economy, as well as talent attraction, integration, and retention.

Indeed, the year 2023-2024 has reaffirmed that Manitoba’s bilingual municipal leadership and the AMBM Group are essential drivers of growth and prosperity on the provincial and national stage.

We would like to highlight the exceptional achievements of our subsidiaries, CDEM and Eco-West Canada, which have continued to stimulate and energize the development of our communities. These joint efforts, supported by strong partnerships, prepare us to face tomorrow’s challenges with confidence and ambition.

We sincerely thank you for your continued support and dedication to our common initiatives. Together, let us continue our mutually beneficial collaborations to build an even more vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous future.

Best regards,

Justin Johnson
