New Funding Available for EV Chargers in Saskatchewan

News

We are thrilled to announce we are administering a new funding program for Saskatchewan, the Municipal Electric Vehicle Initiative (MEVi). Eco-West Canada is proud to partner with the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) and the Municipal Eco-Action Centre, to promote this program that is partially funded by Natural Resources Canada.

MEVi provides funding for up to 50% of eligible costs for projects aiming to install EV charging stations in high-use public areas, based on the following criteria:

  • Up to $5,000 per Level 2 charger connector
  • Up to $75,000 per fast charger, depending on capacity

Eligible applicants include:

  • Municipalities
  • Non-Profits
  • Indigenous Businesses & Communities
  • Co-operatives
  • Businesses

Ideal locations range from arenas and parking lots to workplaces and multi-unit residences.

EV chargers can boost revenue, enhance your community’s green profile, and support the transition to low-carbon transportation.

The time is right for Saskatchewan to plug in and power up.
